About me
Welcome to my Web page. I'm glad to have the opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
Biography
I've been fortunate to have lived in many places. I was born in Toronto, but grew up in Tampa Bay, Florida. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Miami. I pursued medicine at St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. I did my clinical rotations in Brooklyn, New York. I moved to the Midwest and did my pediatrics residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and came all the way to the West Coast to do my neonatology fellowship at UC Irvine Medical Center. There was no other place that I felt provided better care than Kaiser Permanente, so I joined in 2008.
About my practice
I love my job as a neonatologist (a doctor for newborns). With technology and new innovations, the field of neonatology has grown and we can now provide much better care for our patients and families than ever before. It's a blessing to touch a family's life by taking care of their newborn child. Our neonatal intensive care team works together to care for members and their families. We try to provide as comprehensive care as possible while members are here with us, and we make sure that care continues when babies go home by coordinating all the appropriate follow-up appointments.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life is very important. To take the best care of members, I need to take care of myself and my family. I love health and fitness. I try to make it a point to watch what I eat every day and exercise regularly. Spending quality time with my family is of great importance. I also make it a priority to set aside time to just relax.
